I never feel happy. The only thing that makes me feel better is cutting. People hate me. I don’t know what to do.

Eventhough it might feel like everyone hates you, there is always people you can count on... everyone has those days where they feel like no one cares but really you can always find someone to trust.

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so badly inside. That must be really difficult. You deserve to be healthy and happy. It is great that you have decided to talk about this. You have taken the most important first step.
Life can be tough and confusing. When things get rough, sometimes people look for ways to cope that are harmful. This can happen when things feel really overwhelming. It is important for you to know that things WILL get better. You are not alone. And there are ways to cope with difficult times that will help you feel better.
The next step you need to take is to talk to an adult who can help you. Choose a safe, caring adult who you feel comfortable talking to. Approaching an adult for support can feel pretty awkward. To help take off some pressure, it can be easier to write them a note, or a letter describing what you are going through and how you are feeling. You may also want to end the letter asking them to approach you to talk, rather than you feeling you have to begin the conversation.
It can also be really helpful to talk to a professional. Therapists and counsellors are trained to help teens with difficult experiences. A number you can call to talk to someone is Kids Help Phone at 1 800 668 6868. It is free and you can call anonymously if you want. If you have any questions, you can write to us at Need Help Now. There are lots of people who can help you.
